Suzy (Cicala), Well, here is a blast from the past. Do you remember coming over to my house (I think it was in the 4th grade) and hiding out in my brother Andrew's "so-called fort" on the top of the basement stairs and eating STALE potato chips??? They were so disqusting but we ate them anyway. What a great "playdate" hostess I was, although, they didn't call it "playdates" then (1979). My how things have changed. However, after looking at this website, you and Shmoo and John look the same. It's Chrissy who looks SOOOOOO different. My gosh she grew up!!! I remember your mom bringing her into OLPH when she was a toddler. Another thing that has not changed and that is VERY apparent in the photos (since I have not seen you in 23 years) is your sweetness and your kindness. It emanates from your soul and your being. She wrote a book called The Red Devil: To Hell with Cancer - and Back. This article was amazing. You should read it if you could get an old copy of it. There is a great quote in her book that says, "FRIENDS ARE ANGELS WHO LIFT US WHEN OUR WINGS HAVE TROUBLE REMEMBERING HOW TO FLY." These are great words to live by. 12/9 Hi Suzy, just wanted to let you know that Chloe's cheerleading squad (juniors) got 2nd place in the competition at Sharon Hill today. Chloe gets lifted and tossed in the air so I was really nervous but she didn't fall and she even did one of those twisty things in the air! I was really proud of her. Of course they were mad that they didn't get 1st place but Collingdale is very good too, and they got 1st place. I'm so glad it's over. All those screaming girls...I get enough of that at home!! Hello Suzy I was at OLPH's reunion when I heard the sad news. I am praying for you and your family. I saw you at the beginning of the hockey season at Briarcliff, you were happy and pleasant as always. It is hard to believe that you are burdened with such an illness. Hi Suzy, My Mom and Dad ran into John yesterday at the Doggy Hospital (UofP) and they relayed this website information to me. I am praying for you! You still look the same as I remember. This website is great! I love the pictures. I cannot get over how Chrissy has grown... I cannot remember the last time I saw her, I still remember her on my front porch on Waverly Rd. as a child. John and Joe (shmoo)have matured into handsome men, and all you guys have great smiles. Your Mom, well she still looks like the day I met you guys (except for her hair style, now a little shorter) she looks great! And so sorry about your Dad, he was a fun and very nice man and I remember him just as he looks in all the pictures. No more big hair or discovery shoes for me either. Remember down the shore at your Grandmothers house in Cape May many years ago.............the song "Reach" comes to mind, if that is what it is called?? John and I were dancing and we were getting ready for the boardwalk and I could not decide which shoes to wear so I had one of each on just to be funny. (I think your Mom will remember this) Yeah, now it is a short bob hairdo, New Balance sneakers and "The Wiggles" music. Chasing three boys (Eddie 6, Johnnie 4, and Dannie 2) or should I say 4 boys, you can add my husband Ed to that, they all keep me busy, I love it! Ed is a salesman for Follett Library Resources, he sells library books to Schools (K-highschool), his territory is South Jersey and Philadelphia and he loves it. I turned 40 this past October and greatful for everyday! Everyone here is fine. Jackie's son, Andrew is now 9.... and he is amazing! He knows everything, a very bright young man and my boys love him. I'm a stay at home Mom so I am around if ANYONE needs me for ANYTHING just call 610-543-8617, please! I remember your friend in some of the pictures too, I think her name is Heidi. Brings back a lot of memories. Your kids are adorable and Justin has hair like Andrew, isn't that an amazing color. My eddie has reddish/auburn color hair. As I was stopped at a red light the other day, something flew in my window and disappeared in the seam between my windshield and dashboard...I was a little freaked out, thinking it could be a bee or spider or something along those lines....I warily stuck my face real close to try to peek in, half expecting something to buzz straight out, right towards my face. Suddenly, I saw movement...and...a lady bug crawled out, quite calmly, not the chaos I imagined....I smiled, and it happily crawled all over my windshield the rest of the drive home....and of course, I thought of you......!
